Community Guidelines

Share responsibly

Add dates, regions and enough context for factual claims. Mark uncertainty and distinguish direct observation, inference, reposted information and editorial summaries.

Dangerous misinformation and misleading emergency claims are prohibited. Do not present unverified claims as official warnings, evacuation orders, medical guidance or confirmed emergency information. Correct material errors when you discover them.

Protect people

No harassment, threats, targeted abuse, discrimination, exploitation, impersonation or coordinated pile-ons.

Do not expose private identities, contact information, precise locations, routes, medical details or other sensitive material without a lawful and appropriate basis. Never use disaster or conflict content to facilitate harm.

No scams, spam or manipulation

No fraud, fundraising deception, phishing, malware, repetitive promotion, fake engagement, impersonated authority accounts or coordinated manipulation.

Do not use graphic content for shock value. When relevant public-interest material is necessary, provide context and avoid identifying or degrading affected people.

Illegal and dangerous content

Illegal content and instructions intended to harm people are prohibited. Content that credibly increases operational risk during disasters, conflict, public-health events or infrastructure failures may be restricted.

SharedMorrow is not an NGO, emergency authority, medical provider, government service or professional rescue organization.

Reporting and enforcement

Use the Report control on a discussion to send it to the restricted moderation queue. Moderators may dismiss a report, hide or restore content, restrict accounts and retain an audit record.

Enforcement considers context, severity, repetition and credible risk. A public appeal/contact method is still pending Owner decision.
